UI, short for User Interface, is everything a visitor visually sees and directly interacts with on a website or app — buttons, navigation menus, forms, icons, color palettes and typography. If a visitor can see it or click it, it's part of the UI.
A clean, consistent interface builds instant trust. Visitors form an opinion about a business's credibility within seconds of landing on a page — and a cluttered or dated interface can undo months of marketing effort in that instant.
UI is what a visitor sees; UX (User Experience) is how it feels to use it. Good UI without good UX is like a beautiful car with a confusing dashboard — it looks right but frustrates the driver.
